A Brief History and Perspectives for the Future.

Otolaryngology – Open Journal (OTLOJ) started its activities in November 2015, with
the launch of its inaugural edition.

Maintained by Openventio Publishers, the aforementioned
journal has been headed by the editor-in-chief, Dr. Arianna di Stadio (from Boston, USA),
with four associate editors and 27 editorial members,
who are renowned otolaryngologists and other
medical specialists across the globe with expertise and interests in the area of otolaryngology
and head and neck surgery.

Since then, seven editions have been released, and 39 articles have been published in
diverse areas of Otorhinolaryngology.

I had the privilege of publishing 3 articles – “Pharyngotonsillitis: A Quick Review”,
in the inaugural edition; “The Relationship between Different
Types of Streptococci and Pharyngotonsillitis: A Systematic Review” in the third edition (2.2)
and “NIFTP: A Critical Pathologist View”
in the last edition (3.1). I have participated in the
review of several other articles published in this journal.

OTLOJ shows signs of growth, with the possibility of launching 8 special editions in
the coming months, encompassing various themes, such as “Current Advances in Tympanoplasty” and “Head and Neck Tumors”.
