Anthropology has come a long way as a discipline. Technological innovations have brought rapid changes in the subject in recent years. Improved methods of data collection and analysis, and a rapid increase in the ability to understand and classify the complex phenomena of the human body and behavior have improved the theoretical understanding of anthropology, while at the same time enlarging the scope of its applications and challenges.
