In the modern era, pulmonologists tend to pursue only laboratory or radiological findings in the evaluation of patients with respiratory illnesses. Indeed, physical examination skills seemed to be easily disparaging, especially in younger physicians. Physical examination is the quickest way of diagnosis and requires no extra cost, which sometimes leads to rapid diagnosis via inspection, palpitation, percussion, and auscultation. In this regard, we demonstrate the quite typical and/or unique physical signs using video, photographs, and other procedures. This special issue comprises two components as

1) Description of peculiar physical findings in various respiratory diseases (ie, COPD, pneumonia, asthma, interstitial pneumonia, etc) and 2) Physical signs suggestive of cardiac complications in patients with respiratory diseases. We believe that those physical findings would be educative and instructive for all physicians in view of rapid diagnosis of respiratory or comorbid cardiac diseases.
